Data Exchange between Architectural Design and Structural Analysis Models
Digital exchange between domain-specific models of architecture and structural engineering is still burdened with numerous problems such as data and information losses, wrong interpretation of geometry, etc.
Main objective of this work is the achievement of a seamless data exchange between architectural design and structural analysis models. Results of our research show that seamless data exchange requires domain-specific classification systems and inter-domain interpretation rules, for which we propose a new software independent framework.
