Linking Mechanics to Form-finding of Plant-based Bio-composite Structures

Objectives

The goal is to develop a multiscale model for plant-based bio-composite materials, to predict their macroscopic stiffness and strength properties depending on their microstructural composition. Methods that should be used can be found in the area of continuum micromechanics and finite-element-based computational mechanics.
