Strategies for Robotic On-site Construction

The ability to fabricate digitally planned building components with robots not only extends the spectrum of construction possibilites, but it also allows for the direct implementation of material and production logics into the design process. This creates unique architectural expressions and forms the basis for a digital building culture. This talk will give insights on how the use of robots on building sites can redefine conventional building processes and create alternative tectonics to improve the static performance, minimise construction waste, and eventually also increase the safety of workers on construction sites.
