For a realistic depiction of architectural scenes, it is important to perform a physically based simulation of light transport. We are able to provide photorealistic depictions of arbitrary geometric scenes, and we are actively working on solutions to update high quality light transport simulations dynamically. This allows interacting with objects made from complex materials, manipulating light sources in real time to find a pleasant lighting environment, or quickly compare illumination at different times of day. We also fuse the virtual and the real world in augmented reality scenarios, so that illuminated virtual objects produce color casts on real objects and vice versa, for example.
